Public Service with Purpose
From an early age, I was taught "leave a place better than you found it."
By the time I enrolled as an undergraduate at Haverford College, I knew I wanted to try my best to leave every place better than I found it and every person better off for having known me. Anchored in a desire to make things better for others, I pursued financial, legal, educational, and administrative careers that lead me to this road. My journey seemed to unfold into a labyrinth until hindsight painted a straight path. First a frontline public servant as a High School English Teacher, then as a mother, and now as a county program development specialist, I serve the public with the skills and knowledge I have amassed through life and educational studies. The purpose of public service is revealed in my Ethical Leadership Statement below.
